To create an artwork is to combine our energies in objects — objects that have never existed before. The manifestation of creative energy always contains a subtle transcendence, which is why the exhibition space itself can be understood as a kind of sacred space. One of the important functions of art is to make us realise that we are not only spectators of our inner world, but that we belong to it — as well as to each other. Therefore, the art object can have a particularly important function in restoring communities.
The project Unfinishing focuses on dismantling the misconception that the artwork is just something to look at. Following András Visky's above thought, the artwork is there to make us realise that there is something to “do” with it, something to recognise and act. The work of art does not belong to the artist, neither to the exhibition space or the museum. It belongs to everyone.

Kesztyűgyár Gallery
A budapesti Józsefváros Magdolna negyedében található önkormányzati fenntartású Kesztyűgyár Közösségi Ház 2008 őszén nyitotta meg kapuit.
Az elnevezés a tervező-alapító Rév8 Zrt. által adott fantázianév, amely a ház korábbi funkciójára utal, ugyanis az épület egykoron kisebb ipari létesítményként különböző műhelyeknek adott otthont.
A Közösségi Ház elsődleges küldetése a Magdolna negyedben élő családoknak, közösségeknek lehetőséget biztosítani a tartalmas kikapcsolódáshoz, tanuláshoz, valamint kulturált szórakozáshoz.
A megvalósuló programokon keresztül célunk a helyi identitás erősítése, mikroközösségek létrejöttének katalizálása, és megtartó erejük növelése. Aktív szereplőként részt vállalunk Józsefváros szociális, kulturális és fenntarthatósági stratégiájának megvalósításában.
A közösségi házban szívesen adunk helyet civil szervezeteknek, különböző szakmai programoknak, workshopoknak és fórumoknak.
Az épület erőssége, hogy teljes mértékben akadálymentes, minden termünk könnyedén megközelíthető, akár kerekesszékkel is.
Változatos programkínálatunkkal szeretnénk hozzájárulni ahhoz, hogy a Kesztyűgyár által a józsefvárosi Mátyás tér apró, ámde üde, érdekes színfoltjává váljon Budapest közösségi-kulturális életének.
