Despite the plural of the name, We Plants Are Happy Plants is just one "happy plant", in the person of Péter Bergmann from Budapest. The 28-year-old singer-songwriter-producer handles software and synthesizers, but if the song calls for it, he can pick up guitar, bass, drums or piano, and even sing - in a "duet" with his vocoder. A fan of Daft Punk, Radiohead and Coldplay, he is regarded as one of the most talented Hungarian producers in the business and his unmistakably unique sound and emotional electro music is superlatively praised by the leading music blogs
Location
A38 Ship
Converted from a coal-mining ship, the A38 is easily Budapest's most unique concert venue. The belly of the ship has been home to a wide range of live and electronic music for almost 20 years, and when it's full you can feel the rhythmic movement of the partygoers making waves in the Danube. Foreign acts often refer to it afterwards as their favourite club.
